Broadband voucher scheme

As part of the government's Project Gigabit programme, business and residents in some of the hardest-to-reach places in the UK are eligible for additional funding towards the cost of installing gigabit-capable broadband to their premises when part of a group project.

Rural premises with broadband speeds of less than 100Mbps can use vouchers supplied by Building Digital UK worth up to £4,500 to support the cost of installing new gigabit-capable connections.

Derbyshire County Council have pledged to 'top-up' these vouchers, applying a maximum of £3,00 per premise. Making the overall voucher contribution worth a maximum of £7,500.

Group projects are when 2 or more residents and/or small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) get together to combine their vouchers towards the shared cost of installation. Single connections are not eligible for additional funding.
